Frequently Asked Questions

The questions we hear most from Long Island and Hamptons homeowners before their first visit.

How much does home watch cost?

Pricing is set per property, based on square footage, distance, and visit frequency — a weekly check on a 3,000 sq ft home and an estate on a seasonal schedule are priced differently. You'll get an exact figure after a brief property walkthrough, not a generic package rate.

Do you hold a key to my home?

Yes, when clients choose to provide one. Keys are logged, coded (never labeled with your address), and stored securely. You can revoke access at any time, and we'll confirm in writing when it happens.

Are you insured?

Yes. MultiHomeSquad carries commercial general liability coverage. Proof of insurance is provided to clients on request before any engagement begins.

How often will someone actually check on my home?

That's set with you at onboarding — weekly, biweekly, or a seasonal schedule around your travel calendar. Visits are deliberately unannounced and non-routine in timing, so the schedule isn't predictable to anyone watching the property from outside.

What happens if you find a problem?

You're contacted immediately with photos and a description of what was found. For anything urgent — water, fire, break-in — we act first (calling 911, a plumber, or a board-up service) and inform you as it happens, not after the fact.

Can you coordinate contractors and vendors while I'm away?

Yes — this is a core part of the service. We meet landscapers, let in HVAC technicians, oversee repair work after a storm, and verify the job was actually completed before you're billed.

Do you offer arrival prep before we land?

Yes. Climate set to your preference, groceries stocked, pool and grounds squared away, and the home fully live before you walk in — not the day after you arrive.

Is this a monitoring app or a person?

A person — the same one, every visit. There's no app, no ticket queue, and no call center between you and the individual physically at your property.

What areas do you cover?

Long Island, the Hamptons, Westchester, and the New York metro area, with select coverage in South Florida for clients who split time between the two. See our Service Areas page for specifics.

How do we get started?

A no-obligation discovery call, followed by an on-site walkthrough of the property. From there we set a cadence, a reporting format, and pricing — no long-term contract required to begin.
